Lobster. Just reading the name can make your mouth water. For some, “lobster” is mouth-watering because they think of how delicious it is. For others, it’s mouth-watering because they’re thinking of just how much money can be made fishing it. If you’re going to fish for lobster, however, there’s a lot you have to know. Beyond all of the technical, physical, and mental prowess necessary to make good money fishing for lobster, you need to have the proper permits, too. That’s where we can come in. We can help you to get and keep a lobster federal fisheries permit.
Federal Fisheries Permit Lobster Facts
The authorities know just how lucrative lobster fishing can be. You must have a federal lobster limited access permit to fish commercially for lobster in federal water. This permit can’t just be a picture on your phone or something; you need to have it on board your vessel at all times. One, and only one, of these permits are issued per vessel. Whoever is operating the vessel needs to have a valid federal operator’s permit, too. If you sell the vessel, the permit doesn’t go with you – it stays with the vessel. These permits don’t stay valid forever, either. You have to renew them by April 30th annually (the last day of the fishing year) or they will expire. We can help you through the process.

If you don’t know all that much about the “spiny lobster,” there’s one thing you should know: they’re a great opportunity.
